Terry Dixon was born and raised in the arts. His mother was an inspiring artist and his father was an advertising director, so I guess you can say that Dixon was destined for creativity. During the later years Dixon got his (BFA) from the Atlanta College of Art and then later went on to receive his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. As the years passed by in his professional art career, Terry Dixon was able to grow and develop his own unique style with his dynamic use of color, intuitive line style and layers of various mixed media materials and the use of his own abstract photographic imagery. Terry Dixon has had various solo and group exhibition in the United States and Asia and over the course of time he has been published in various national and international publications. Dixon’s work is owned by art collectors in the United States, Paris France and the prestigious Sandor Family collection in Chicago.
