Edifice Innovation: BUILT Fest in August

Building a temporary city out of shipping containers,  BUILT Festival is a major new art Initiative taking place this sumer in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. Shipping containers will be handed over to selected contemporary artists and curators and given the task of transforming the open-ended materials into alternative or guerrilla-style venues. BUILT is designed as a dynamic space for creative thinking and action, bringing together artists and participants in a cultural activation open to the public. Over a hundred independent artists, projects, exhibitions, and performances will expand on the festival’s focus on urban culture.
