Annual Open House at Terry Dowd Inc.

Erica Peplin

The Terry Dowd, Inc. open house is taking place on Monday, July 25th, 3:00pm until 8:00pm. In conjunction with the Association of Midwestern Museums conference, visitors are welcome to stop by and see the inter-workings of art handling and visit the “Artists of TDI” art show. Entertainment and refreshments will be available.

Since 1978, Terry Dowd, Inc. has been handling fine art, artifacts, and antiques; objects that are high in value, fragile and irreplaceable. TDI, Inc., is perhaps best known among museums for its superior packing and crating services and its innovative adaptation of commercially available materials that meet conservation standards. Their crating methods have been informed by the research of the Canadian Conservation Institute, and in turn our standards have served as a guide for many institutions.

The storage facilities at TDI, Inc. house security systems with 24/7 protection, integrated sensors monitoring interior motion, smoke, moisture, and temperature with both telephone and radio backup. Their clients include museums, private collectors and corporations around the world, using TDI, Inc. for collection, crating, storage and transport of individual loans or entire exhibits.
