I remember him well: handsome, intelligent, easy going, and hard-nosed halfback on the Fenger H.S. Football team (a couple of years ago). This kind of figurative abstraction is very inventive and happening. While paintings may be easier for galleries to manage than sculptures, please remember that the mantra “painting is dead” has neen around for close to 40 years. Perhaps scale has something to do with this conundrum as well. It is difficult to get any art work into galleries.
