		<description>This is very interesting, though not surprising. I think gallerists also prefer to do business on a handshake rather than have a contract. I encourage artists to do contracts even when the other party won&#039;t--just to protect themselves. I&#039;ve worked at three museums. We always had extensive contracts with artists--for exhibitions, lectures, and programs.</description>
