My memories go a little further back. I remember going to Riverview Amusment Park in Chicago. there was a both there and I went in and deposited a penny ( I did not get any change- I think the change mechanism was jammed) After I closed the curtain the front wall opened and a man with a sketch paid appeared and sketched a portrait. It was the same size of the current digetal pictures today.
I am glad we have progressed since then and I'm sure the sketch artists stuffed in the booth feel the same way.

Wow. Tried to remember when I last needed quick photos at a chemical photo booth, realized I usually used them in foreign countries for quick ID cards and subway passes.

Digital and film both have places in photography. I totally agree. Didn't realize the old photo booths were so rare.

Sigh. Also a shock that slide projectors were going away. Art shows are STILL asking for slides.

Sheesh, you should have seen the look on the guy that does some of my quick photo developing when I asked for black and white film. He nearly had a heart attack when I asked for slides.

Thanks for marking the fading days of the old photo booths. Someone had to.
