A funny thing happened on the way to the interview

I recently made a phone call to Melanee Cooper Gallery to inquire about their next show and any plans they may be cooking up for Art Chicago. I was told that they had no new shows and that art is no longer on the agenda. They had recently sent out a press released and announced their conversion to a yoga studio.

Per voicemail message, the yoga studio will open in April. After eight years in their River North location, this comes a bit of a surprise. The good news, according to Chicago Gallery News, is that Yoga House does have Art Chicago plans and will offer free yoga to gallerists and artists during the weekend of April 30-May 3.
